新题型作为第二大模块阅读理解的part B部分，共5题，10分。新题型对考研学子来说，可谓是“福音”，——解题技巧明显， 得分相较其他题型而言，相对容易。但是，新题型虽然得分，因为解题技巧，显得容易，但是，新题型在选材和篇章内容上，却着实存在一定难度。比如，熟词生义现象在新题型中的出现，给众多考生造成困扰。下面为大家准备了“2018考研英语新题型：熟词生义”，希望对大家有所帮助!

　　Obscure 常见意思为“模糊的”，然而，本段上文论述的观点——行为发生在过去，而照片是对过去行为的唯一体现，很明确，所以，obscure在本句的意思为它的僻义“晦涩的”意思。本句句意为“以上是比较晦涩的观点，但是，它为展示大量黑白照片和相对较少的自然景物的展览会奠定了基调。

　　Parks feature, particularly in the earlier works, such as John Hilliard's very funny Across the Park, in which a long-haired stroller is variously smiled at by a pretty girl and unwittingly assaulted in a sequence of images that turn out to be different parts of the same photograph.(2014,英二)

　　Still shot 都属于普通词汇，考生熟知的意思为still “仍然”，shot “射击”，然而，首先，一方面，still shot 连用译为“仍然射击”，不符合语言表达，思维逻辑，更不符合上下文的语境。所以，本句中两个词均熟词生义，给考生理解本句造成极大困扰。另一方面，本句的正确理解，还需要了解另一个词汇地熟词生义——film熟知意思为“电影”，然而，film 僻义有”胶卷，胶片”之意，所以，本句，film引申为“照片”。将film理解为照片，完全符合前文展览会主要展览照片，展示作品的语境，如若理解为“电影”势必不符上下文语境。因此，本句的正确理解，需要将“film 胶卷，照片;still静止的，静态的;shot 快照，照片”三个词都属于熟词生义现象。本句句意为“德里克﹒加曼所拍摄的已经泛黄的照片展示了艾夫伯里石圈，这一组作品是由一系列静态的照片组成，拍摄了威尔特群的风景。

　　Issue 的词意较多，常见意思为“发布，发行”，issue 在本句中，译为发布，和一张娱乐卡和赌场这个场所搭配使用，不符合语境和措辞。本句中，issue熟词生义为“发给，供给”，本句句意为“威廉姆作为一名经常光顾的消费者，赌场发给威廉姆一张娱乐卡，此卡可以让威廉姆在赌场积攒积分，换取食物和饮料，同时，赌场也可以用娱乐卡追踪用户的赌博活动。

　　Margin常见意思为“页边的空白，边缘”，本句margin 上下文语境，涉及零售销售量食品和饮料的批发业务，涉及经济领域，而且文章无论是已知信息还是未知信息，都与经济相关。如果margin 理解为“页边的空白”，显然不符上下文语境，本句margin 熟词生义为“利润”更符合语境。本句意为“并且，批发平均利润率高于零售平均利润率。”

　　为更好地理解margin 的用法，margin 在2008年英语一新题型中，未知选项A中，也考察过它的常见用法。

　　[A]To make revising easier, leave wide margins and extra space between lines so that you can easily add words, sentences, and corrections. Write on only one side of the paper.(2008，英语一)本句中的margin 译为“页边的空白”，本篇文章从文章开始就一直在论述如何写作，写作的宏观顺序，涉及初稿，内容修改等，所以，此处，与经济领域无关，margin 译为常见意思“边缘，页面空白”最佳。本句句意为“为了使修改工作容易些，最好在行与行之间流出较宽的边缘和充裕的空间，以便在容易添加词汇、语句和更正工作。最好在纸张的一面进行书写。

　　熟词生义现象的判断，是看词汇意思是否符合上下文语境，并不是基础词汇的熟词意思就一定不会考察，只不过，考研英语更侧重考查熟词的僻义，所以，考生需要谨慎对待。结合语境，正确理解文意。正确看待熟词生义现象。

　　Stem 一词常见意思为“起源于”，常见用法为stem from 起源于，相当于熟知的originate from，然而，stem在本文中，熟词生义为“阻止，遏止”，更符合上下文语境，上文提到人类行为是造成各种问题的根本原因，下文提到解决气候变化问题，应当采取的措施。所以，本句句意为“遏止气候变化，例如，可以采取以下措施，一、改变消耗模式;二、促进税收接受度;三、研发清洁能源。

　　The researchers suggest that capuchin monkeys, like humans, are guided by social emotions. In the wild, they are a co-operative, group-living species.
